How to interpret the ART Calculator output?
The new ART Calculator is intended to help patients and doctors understand what would be the minimum number of mature oocytes required for achieving at least one euploid blastocyst. Since each euploid blastocyst has an implantation potential of 50-60% irrespective of the age group , then if all other factors are adequate the cumulative pregnancy rates among patients who achieved the number of oocytes as per the calculator estimation should be at least 50-60%. The ART Calculator output can also be used to guide individualized patient-oriented strategies to achieve the estimated minimum number of mature oocytes.
How to compare your data with that generated by the ART Calculator?
You can compare your data in two ways: 1. By looking at the pregnancy rates in patients who achieved the minimum number of mature oocytes according to the ART Calculator. As said above, the pregnancy rates should be at least 50-60%. 2. By looking at the number of euploid embryos among patients who achieved the minimum number of mature oocytes according to the ART Calculator. This number should be at least ONE. For this, you need to have PGT-A data. Importantly, please consider that the estimations provided by the ART calculator are based on probabilities of success, eg., 70%, 80%, 90%. This means that the expected results as above should be analyzed according to the probability of success set by the user.
